Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.

Applications at the moment are open and will close on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the subsequent requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house that has a combined gross household earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house income won't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need not post any proof of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the nsfas status check missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the correct Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored within nsfas status their South African ID.
